Step 2: Identify Values

Your Work Environment's Stated Values and You

Values in an organization are important because they form the foundation for the company's culture: "the way we do things around here." They guide thinking, decisions, people interactions, communications, recruiting new employees, and performance.

These values also let others know what the company stands for and how it is different from other companies.

If your personal values do not align with your workplace values, then you are likely to be unhappy in your work environment.

When you act to close a gap, it is important to foresee how any personal or company values might become a barrier which you must overcome.

In the Business Inspirations process, we guide you to identify your workplace values as well as your personal values, and to see how those align.
